As a Virtual Architectural Assistant, you’ll support the design and planning process for home extensions, loft conversions, and new builds. You'll work closely with the architect and designer on the client’s team to create high-quality drawings and assist in research and project coordination. Over time, you’ll gain valuable knowledge in building regulations and planning constrains, setting you up for long-term success in the field.​

 Work Hours:

Rate:

⭐ ​​4 GBP per hour

POTENTIAL TASKS

  • Create 2D drawings in AutoCAD, including existing house plans and elevations from survey sketches. 
  • Develop concept design drawings under supervision. 
  • Assist in researching planning constrains. 
  • Help prepare construction drawings (training provided). 
  • Conduct online research for design inspiration (Pinterest, internet). 
  • Organize project files and support with emails and document management. 
  • Use Microsoft Office tools for reports, presentations, and communication. 
  • (Bonus) Work with SketchUp for 3D models. 
  • (Bonus) Assist with social media content related to architectural projects. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) – essential! 
  • Ability to interpret and redraw survey sketches into house plans and elevations. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings. 
  • Eagerness to learn about building regulations and construction drawings. 
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong research skills and ability to find relevant information online. 
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. 
  • Friendly and professional attitude – we value a positive work environment! 
  • (Bonus) Experience with SketchUp and social media.
